| Probably has been discussed before but... I need potty help! I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I am seriously losing patience and don't want to read through every post. I have a 7 month old male. When I got him he was almost 3 months old and by the time he was 5 months, he rarely ever peed inside the house. Once he hit the marking stage, however, he will not go outside. I take him out frequently and when he wakes up or after he eats, and it's like he just marks things and as soon as we come inside and I turn my back he goes up to the wall and pees. I don't know how to get him to just pee all the way outside. Please help! |

| You also have to firmly say NO! when you see him doing it inside. They need to understand that doing it inside is a no-no. And of course tons of praise when doing it outside. It certainly takes time! I would definitely say that taking him out on a schedule will help immensely! Once in the morning, afternoon, and before bed, is usually enough.

| My mother's Bichon had the say problem. She tried everything, then ended up neutering him. He stopped marking in the house the same day as he was neutered and never did it again in the house. He would only mark outside. I guess he got the message that peeing on things in the house is not a good idea. My Golden was not neutered until I got Cozy last year and he never once marked in the house. I think little dogs are more likely to mark in the house because they have something to prove. Good Luck.
