My mother's Bichon had the say problem. She tried everything, then ended up neutering him. He stopped marking in the house the same day as he was neutered and never did it again in the house. He would only mark outside. I guess he got the message that peeing on things in the house is not a good idea.

My Golden was not neutered until I got Cozy last year and he never once marked in the house. I think little dogs are more likely to mark in the house because they have something to prove.
