| ![]() Hi Everyone, My Yorkie is 4 and a half months and has been with us for 3 months now. She is pretty good about going on the pad when we are home and she is roaming around freely. But she makes an awful mess in her playpen EVERY time when we leave her in there. She goes everywhere but on the pad! And then she gets super hyper when we come home and steps all over the mess. I have to clean her up and her play pen every time I come home. Any ideas on why she does that? Or what I can do to get her to go on the pee pad when she is in her play pen? Thanks in advance for all the suggestions. |

| ![]() I was thinking the same thing. A crate would be much better.

| ![]() Her playpen is about 4' by 4'. There is room for her bed, her pee pad, and some more room. I don't want to leave her in a crate because I work from 8 to 5 and feel bad locking her up for so long. Any other suggestions? |

| ![]() I used an actual childs play pen, when we first got Meka... Think it might have been a little smaller than urs cause there was just enough room for her bed, pad and water bowl... I also did things like leaving the TV on, so she wouldnt be lonely or bored. It seems like ur pups acting out cause she's alone and maybe has a little too much room in her pen. Also, just bought a spray from Petsmart that helps pups go where they need to... Ive been using it for a while now and it seems to work - hope this helps.

| ![]() is your play pen made from the "folding metal" fence where you can make it diferent dimensions? That's what I have. What I did was to make it not as wide only 2 feet wide but made it longer where its 6 feet long. so one end I have the poopy pad and the other end the bed, this has worked out well for me. I lay down the newspaper, (newspaper is just the right size of 2 feet) which is under the metal cage helps keep our puppy from destroying the pen as much. |

| ![]() Thanks Rack - I think I'll try resizing it. Sorry about switching the topic, but I see you're from the area. Do you know of any good groomers in the South Bay? Thanks. |
