I think it's starting to work. He is finally starting to bark at the door to go. We had 2 accidents in the house yesterday... better than 10! I've got my fingers crossed that he finds his mind soon. As for the sleeping through the night... still trying to find an answer. He's been sleeping on the bed with us the past few nights, and he still wakes up at the same time (5am or so) in the morning. Although, the night before last he did sleep until 6am, so maybe we're getting somewhere. Thanks everyone for all of your advice!!

| ![]() Take the puppy out at 5a.m. and then go back to bed, mine LOVE that...on days I have to work they stand at the bottom of the stairs like "Aren't we going back to bed?" when they see the answer is No, then they play and let me know when they are hungry and it is "Breakfast Time", it takes time but soon everyone falls into a routine...Good Luck! ![]() |

| ![]() SweetCuteness, I'm so glad that things are going better. That's great news! As far as the waking up too early, here's what has worked for some people. Figure out what time he normally wakes up and set your alarm for about 15 minutes before that. Take him out and go back to bed. Very s-l-o-w-l-y move the alarm time forward. This way, pup learns that he gets to get up/go out when the alarm goes off, not when he demands it. He should start waiting for the sound of the alarm to get up (if you do is slowly enough) and you should eventually be able to get him to wait until your normal getting up time. Good luck!
