![]() Well my Binky was housetrained. I live in an apartment and trained him to use his potty pads which are on the balcony. Since last week hes been really bad and starting to go inside again!!! He sometimes still goes out onto the potty pads, but not always. He always does it near the wall next to the door (the door is always open so he can get out if he so pleases). I dont know what to do. I have white wall to wall carpeting and he isnt the best at making it onto his pad but will pee right on the edge and sometimes off of it, so keeping a pad inside is not an option. I live in Los Angeles so the coming winter isnt what is prompting this. I dont know what to do. I cant crate him during the day because I can be gone for 9 hours at a time. I dont want to lock him on the balcony. I really really dont know what to do. He used to just be bad and go inside when I wasnt home. But he just now peed all over the carpet right in front of me.

![]() Hi, I'm concerned you said you will be gone for 8-9 hours I guess work. If you’re gone that long the best thing would be to have him in a confined area. You may want to get a playpen one with the bottom. Then you can set it up with Water, food bowl and a wee wee pad on the other side. Put some toys in to keep him company while you are away. If he is free to roam the house at such a young age he can get in to all kinds of trouble. Cord wires, thing falling over.. It's just too much to chance for a young puppy. Try using vinegar to clean up the mess, as he could be smelling the old scent. While you are in the home with him they suggest you keep him on a leash until he is trained that way you can catch him before he has an accident and take him to where he should go. I hope this helps

![]() Has he been neutered? Sometimes a trained Yorkie may have problems if he senses a female in heat in the area...

| ![]() Since you are gone for that long, perhaps an X-pen with a tarp or heavy plastic shower curtain spread underneath to protect your carpet. We sometimes use two pens to give Toto lots of room and also helps with that "caged" feeling! There is room for everything she needs ... food, water, bed, toys, wee wee pad and anything else that will make her happy. You could set it up with the door facing your balcony door and still give the baby access to your balcony and that "familiar" place to go. Regardless of the lengths to which we go to make Toto happy and comfortable, she still rebels and has "accidents" as if it's her only way to strike out when she is frustrated!! ![]() ![]()

![]() if your yorkie is not fixed they will have accients sometimes. I know with charlie he had accients but now that he is fixed he does not pee in the house but on the puppy pads.

![]() He isnt neutered... YET. Hes pretty much potty trained, but likes to pick spots in the house as well. He would go behind the couch, so i blocked it. He would go under my desk so hes not left in that room unattended. Now he likes to go in the corner of the living room, So i blocked it. Im worried that Im soon going to have to walk through a maze of boxes and gates to get anywhere in my house. Its not like he doesnt know what to do. He knows hes supposed to go outside, but finds his spots and go there as well. If he wasnt so cute Id get pissed. So now I have more boxes covering my carpet than furniture. At least he doesnt pee in bed, on the furniture or when Im holding him.
