| Pad & Outside training? I have been training ours to go on the pad since September, but they shred the paper ones. So I'm going to order some cloth rewashable ones. They also are not totally pad trained, they are pretty much 100% in the xpen, but much less so outside of it. I also started teaching them to go out side as well, since thats what we'd like them to do when we are home. Will leaving them in an x-pen with a cloth pad during the working day negate any advances we make when we are home nights and weekends with going outside? Or will I have to crate them and come home and let them out every work day? I can come home 95% of the time, but on days I can't for some reason or another, I will have to x-pen them and I don't know if that will effect their outside training. |

| Have you tried the grass-scented pads? Nature's Miracle Training pads work best for mine. I suggest starting them off on the pads first so that they get accustomed to the grass-scent. Continue to take them outside so that they can get used to that as well, and reward them whenever they do their business out there. This is what we did with Kiba, and he pretty much trained himself! He knew that whenever he was inside (whether we were home or not), the pad was where he was supposed to go, and whenever we were home to let him outside he knew to go as well. Good luck! |
