| Thanks to those who put Lillybelle's link on here for me. As far a the bell itself-think I spent about 2-3 dollars. I bought a 1 inch bell and a strand of pink fur rope from hobby lobby-(or any craft store) and just hung from my door. This training was SO worth it and not that difficult AT ALL. Just getting her to be accident free did take time. Oh and my boys told me---mom-we cant take much more of this "pink"-she has pink everything. Even a pink chair that she sits in at the table and at the computer and while Im cooking-anytime I cant hold her. Last edited by sgab80; 02-06-2007 at 05:34 AM. |

| So ring the bell with her paw and she will eventually get the hang of it? With the peanut butter, she just licks the peanut butter and doesn't ring the bell. Is that going to work? |

| No Longer a Member | Sorry to jack this thread, but I would love to hear more about this chair. Got pics? I need something like that. When I go on the 'puter, I have Chloe leashed to me (umbilical cord). If I have her on my lap, she paws (and licks!) the keyboard. LOL |

| Every time we took him outside,we would ring the bell and say ring the bell!!we would stop at the bell before going out ,and he would look at it. then at us,.one day he looked at us waiting for us to ring, when we didnt ,he touched it! .it only took a few days.I could never put peanut butter on it! he would be licking it off too!!

| mistyinca-dont mind if you highjack--ha!-cuz is so fun to talk about our babies!! I was having a first bd party for LillyBelle and needed something for her to sit at the table (it was her party!), so I put together a seat for her. That was back in August and she just absolutely loves her chair...I attached ribbon underneath so its ties to a bar stool-I just pull it over to the computer, or by the kitchen counter, or at the table if we are eating---NO she never, ever jumps out...she just sits and feels like she should be there-or just curls up in a little ball and lays there. I made one for the bathroom counter as well-because she is always, jumping up-pawing at me to pick her up while Im getting dressed, she knows they are HER sofa chairs. Im attaching a couple photos. |

| I got my bell at Petsmart. Its lot larger than the one on the pink boa, lol. I couldn't find it there, and had to ask an employee to find it. They knew they had it, but took 3 of them to locate it in the store. Venus, even after 3 months of having this bell, still waits till I tell her to "ring the bell".. I think I have a slow learner here, lol. But you know I love her anyway! |
