| Is dog litter safe? Hi everyone. I got my new puppy Fiona on Saturday. I have her in a ex pen during the day, have been putting her in a crate at night, which has been working pretty well. She weighs 3.2 lbs. I have been using purina second nature litter in a box and she is using it great for pooping--seems to prefer it. I have a pee pad folded in the box as well and she pees in that (most of the time...) She does drag the pee pad around, which is a pain. I was thinking of getting a pee pad holder and putting it next to the box-- if she uses one for poop, the other for pee, I am ok with that. The problem though--she also picks up pieces of the litter and chews on it. I am concerned that if she eats this stuff (or too much of it) she will get sick or it will hurt her digestion. Any suggestions? |

| We've been using it for Crystal for app. 9 months. She used to play with it, but rarely messes with it at all now. Hang in there, the boredom started after a month or two. When she was able to spend more time away from it in other parts of the house. It is safe. She didn't actually ingest much, if any of it. |
