| Barking may be ending soon!!! I have tried everything on God's beautiful earth to try and stop or curb the barking that my four do. I was looking at trying the coin in can thing again, so I was looking in the cabinets for something that may make a little more noise than a can. My son loves those "Altoid" things that come in a tin can the size of "chew" or "snuff". I put four pennies in it and it seems to be working. I shake it and at the same time say "ssshhhhh". We are all doing it, being consistant. The only thing that bothers me is when Izzie hears it, she yelps like she's being hurt. The good thing is that now when I pick it up she immediately stops barking. I don't even have to shake it. So keep your fingers crossed so I (we) can have some piece and quiet once in a while.

| That's about the "ONLY" thing I have not tried on Buddy. He is so good when I am home, rarely barks but when the old pockbook comes out he gets nuts. He knows I am leaving and when the key turns in the door all heck breaks out. I bought and tried everything. 2 1/2 yrs of this. I will try the can thing tomorrow. |

| That's awesome! I'm glad its working. Do you always keep it in the same place? Or is there a certain wait you hold the can? Hopefully pretty soon, you can go to wear you normally keep the can, or act like your holding it, and she will stop right away. I'm glad you found something!

| Shhhh! Muffin loved to bark, too. I always said she liked the sound of her own voice. Kacee seldom barks and you'd really like that. I know I do.

| I have penny cans all over the house! I dressed them up with a little fabric because it was starting to look trashy with diet coke cans around everywhere! They do work. I only have to pick up a penny can now and they stop barking.

I crate them when I am gone (for their safety/my peace of mind) and when I walk into their room they are going nuts!!!! I have it on a small file cabinet right inside the door. Now after two days, all I have to do is reach for it and they stop. When they are out (they have run of family room/kitchen) I keep it on a table within easy reach. Just one little shake now and the ssshhhh and they stop. I will continue this until all I have to do is ssshhh them.

| I wish pennies in a can worked for Howie. He barks louder whenever I use it.
