I have tried everything on God's beautiful earth to try and stop or curb the barking that my four do. I was looking at trying the coin in can thing again, so I was looking in the cabinets for something that may make a little more noise than a can. My son loves those "Altoid" things that come in a tin can the size of "chew" or "snuff". I put four pennies in it and it seems to be working. I shake it and at the same time say "ssshhhhh". We are all doing it, being consistant. The only thing that bothers me is when Izzie hears it, she yelps like she's being hurt. The good thing is that now when I pick it up she immediately stops barking. I don't even have to shake it. So keep your fingers crossed so I (we) can have some piece and quiet once in a while.
