| Trying to jump in bed... my yorkie yoshi, has been trying to jump in the bed with me and my hubby, and we sleep on a matress on the floor... i think its just when i jump in the bed too...he always gets spun up and starts jumping around the whole bed...if any hands or toes are sticking out off the bed where he can reach...he will lick and nibble at them...sometimes its cute...but most of the time i just need to sleep (me being pregnant and all)...how do i stop this behavior? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali sleeps with me but if you don't want him in your bed, since it's on the florr, you will probbaly need to crate him. The other thing is once he gets use to sleeping in your bed they settle down real quick!

| Why can't he sleep in the bed with you? Both of mine sleep in bed with me! Whenever mine see something hanging from anywhere...and it can be feet, blanket, sock, ect....they try to grab it and play tug-o-war with it. Also, my 2 love to lick my toes and feet. It is just a yorkie thing. I would recommend just letting him in the bed with you so he will be used to it. This will stop his behavior. If you crate him, he is definately going to whine and that will keep you awake, too. |

| Loki is allowed on the bed, which is fine when he sleeps by my head or the foot of the bed, but sometimes he will stretch out sideways in the middle! Anyway, when he is annoying about it I ask him to get "off" I taught him the "off" command by tossing a treat on the floor and saying "OFF!" the second all 4 feet hit the floor. We practiced every day until he got it. Now I can ask him to get off, and he does. He will hop back on, but then I ask him to get off again. Usually I only have to ask twice and he will stay off. I did the same thing to teach "out" as in "get out of the bathroom" (or kitchen, or crate) I tossed a treat into the other room and said "out" Now when he goes in the bathroom I just quietly say "out" and he complies. If I ask him twice, he stays out.

| we would we would let him sleep in the bed its just he runs all up and down my belly and attacks my face with kisses!!! its kinda hard to sleep...and when he wants to go lie down somewhere, he usually falls asleep on a black pillow next to our bed...and he's not house trained yet...so i don't want to wake up with pee and poo on my bed..hehe |

As for the licking and attacking. If he isn't used to sleeping there he will be hyper and think its play time. Some nights when Stump isn't tired and wants to play I give him a bone, or some type of chewing stick. And He will lay at the foot of my bed and chomp until he is tired. | |
