Stump sleeps with me, and has since we got him. I read online that if he gets used to sleeping there he won't have any accidents on the bed, Dogs are smart and they don't want to sleep in their own mess. So you shouldn't have to worry about that.

As for the licking and attacking. If he isn't used to sleeping there he will be hyper and think its play time. Some nights when Stump isn't tired and wants to play I give him a bone, or some type of chewing stick. And He will lay at the foot of my bed and chomp until he is tired.
