| my roommate said the same thing about training my puppy (she's toooo young!) my puppy as of today (happy birthday!) is 9 weeks old and already knows how to SIT and lay DOWN. it's the cutest thing because she's so small. this just goes to prove that yorkies are the SMARTEST DOGS in the WORLD! well, except for house breaking. a tip i learned from a book: don't repeat, use the 10 second rule. puppies take a while to process commands, so count to 10 slowly before repeating yourself! i bet you a cookie that in that time span they'll obey your command! |

| Okay so i've decided to start the command training process with both my Scrappy and Scooby (cockapoo). Scrappy doesn't really know any that I can tell, and Scooby only knows sit. So hopefully the saying "you cant teach an old dog new tricks"... is just hog-wash. I'm going to start with SIT first. Then DOWN (meaning to lay down, not get OFF the couch!). And then ROLLOVER. What other things would be good to teach them? Oh, yeah COME HERE. Anyone with suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.
