![]() my yorkie is 3 mos old. he is doing well with the potty training at home, but every night we go to the neighbor's house for supper and he doesn't do well there at all. they have a chocolate lab and a mutt that tucker loves to play with, but he won't always go potty when we go outside. i've even tried taking him in the front yard where the other dogs are not allowed to go. any suggestions? also, i have a friend with a jack russell who is not the typical "hyper" jack russell, but she and tucker don't seem to get along very well. is that the terrier in them? how much of the barking and biting is playing? are they both okay as long as their hair is not up and tails are wagging?

![]() I wouldn't worry about your pup not going to the bathroom at your friend's house. And dogs can play pretty rough. Actually, I have to protect my 21-pound Bichon from my little Yorkie. It's the Yorkie who is the "wild one." They wear me out watching them. The puppy (Yorkie) does a lot of biting and hanging on and being drug around. The Bichon (the victim) never bites -- but does love to run and play. Good luck! Carol Jean

| ![]() How far away is your house from the neighbors? If you are worried about him having an accident in your neighbor's house, would it be worth the walk to bring him home to go? Just until he is a little older and gets the whole potty training issue down. Gus does take longer to go when we are at other people's houses but he does know the command for potty so at least he knows what I want from him.

![]() Thanks for all the advice! I'm new to the whole yorkie thing. My friends have dogs (obviously) but i've never had a small one of my own. Tucker is doing better at the neighbor's house. He actually used the puppy pad twice the other night! He was probably just trying to get used to it. And playing with the jack russell has gotten better, too. I think it helps that tucker has gotten bigger. timber still tries to "herd" him, but when he wants to get away, he fights back now!

![]() My dog will "pee anywhere." When I take him to friend's houses - I at least let him pee before we go in (if he needs to - and he always at least trys - with every bush we go by.) But, then I slap a belly belt on him -- just in case. Carol Jean
