| wee,wee Hey, my fur baby tucker has a problem with peeing in the house. We have had him for a little over a year as the people who were at his party today would know. And we just dont know what to do. Please offer me some advice.

| Really it just takes persistence and consistency. I would choose to either use pee pad or outside, but not both!!! That is just confusing to the dog. I know they are cute, but you absolutely HAVE to punish him if he goes to the bathroom where he is not supposed to. You don't have to spank, but sternly tell him NO and then take him to his potty spot, whether it be outside or on the pee pad. It just takes a lot of time and effort. But make sure you are consistent. Good luck! |

| My 9-month-old pup would pee anywhere in the house and not give a darn about it. But - with me taking him outside every two hours or so -- he almost never has an accident inside. Thank God for summer! Plus - he's older now and just doesn't pee as often. He goes hours now (often 6 or 7 hours or more) . I think he pee'd every 15 minutes when he was a pup. Carol Jean |

| I would agree you definitely need to be consistant. You also need to make it seem like it's worth his while. During the initial training stages we reward heavily. Desired results bring lots of love and we throw what we call puppy parties. We lay on the treats and good boys/girls and really whoo hoo it up. Once they know what positive behavior is they do really tend to want to please you. When training outdoors use a leash it makes having control so much easier and it allows you to emphasize the go potty command. If they don't go then they don't get full roam of the house it's as simple as that. It doesn't take too long to catch on...
