![]() We hardly ever use the word "NO" unless if he is doing something really bad. We say "HEY" or "DROP IT" or "STOP IT" and he knows. If he has something in his mouth and we say "DROP IT" and he does we tell him "THANK YOU" and pat his head and say "GOOD BOY"!!! It seams to work. We tell him "THANK YOU" alot after we "repremand him". ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() I learned from a woman in California, who owned 2 Female Yorkies, that this breed has the capacity and intelligence to learn the vocabulary of up to 200 words. So I'm putting it to the test in different tones and languages. I don't say "No" with Artie, I say "Hey" and I also speak to him in "Tagalog" w/c is Flipino (my native language) as well as english. I tell him where we are going when we get into the car. When we are out on his daily walks 7 am. & 5 pm. in our Apartment complex and he meets other dogs I tell him their names. It seems to be working. ![]() ![]()

![]() In the book puppy preschool it is suggested to bark at the dog when it does something wrong and get down at its level and dominate it when it won't stop. Any one try this? This is the alternative to using the word no it is a "nawh" growl in a low voice. Interesting. Does it work? ![]()
