| I would keep her harness and leash on her if I had a hard time catching up with her. Then you can start to train.

Is she getting enough exercise? Walks are a great way to have fun with your pup and then she will be happy to chew on something tasty like a pig's ear or trotter when you return home. Training classes sound a good idea to give her some mental stimulation. As for the crazies-all pups get them especially around dusk! She won't have so much energy to hoon around if she has just had a walk. She should sleep better too--it works for me and my pup is nearly 5 months!

Have patience and be consistent...Gucci came to live with us when she was 2 mts. old. I put her in the wash room which happens to be a nice size, her crate was never closed. I would leave a gate by the door so she could not get out when we were not home. She had full run of the room, I would always leave her pee pad , bowl of water and food. She is over a yr and a half now, she has full use of our home, during the day when we are not home. But at night she likes to go to sleep downstairs in her crate. If we let her sleep upstairs she would want to play 24/7 she too would hear everything. Gucci is potty trained to go outside and inside on pads. She still has accidents with number 2 and she runs and hides, she knows she did something wrong its the cutest...lol Good luck and I gather that you are a young couple with no children. lol they are like human babies they want to test you to see how much they can get away with. They are very intelligent.

Sometimes puppies are better when they are young than they are when they get older. I leave my pup in the kitchen when I go to work - and he never used to complain. But now that he's older - and has gone for a few rides with me in the car - he is no longer happy being left at home. He has learned that there is a world out there on the other side of that door - and a car - and wants to go with me. My pup has slept with me since the first night I had him - and, from the get-go, he slept 5 or 6 hours soundly - and has wet very few times. Plus he wears a belly band at night - so, if he should wet, it won't hurt anything. I do get my pup up and take him to his potty pad - when he first wakes up in the morning. He's 7 months old now, and will easily sleep 7 or 8 hours now. He has never cried (not for one second). He just snuggles up and goes to sleep. Good luck! Carol Jean

Yorkies are a handful.... It's been awhile since I owned a dog and this is my first Yorkie and she does similar things when she wakes up she wants me to get up even if it's 5 am and she will bark and cry till I get up. I realized she started to do it less when she learned I wasn't giving in. I would get up and put her in her little bed and we would do this a couple of times till she realized I wasn't gonna play with her and she has started to just stay in her bed I think with repatition these doggies get it. I mean she does so much and she is only 2 months. She sits on command and lays down on command we are working on giving paw. U should make a time in the day or night where u can play with her one on one so she gets used to knowing that is yours and hers personal play time. She has to understand the difference between play time and rest time like any doggie. Boy do these little ones have an attitude if my little Roxy wants my attention and I can't give it to her she growls and runs in to my leg lol it's amusing she is persistant, but we are working on our understanding just try to give her "u and her time". When she doesn't want to stop barking give her a time out room or corner. When she quiets down bring her for a treat or play time. Oh my goodness u can't forget toys lots of em!!! My little Roxy can chew chew chew its like amazing but I just bought her toys of all kinds and bones she has temptation all around her from the couch to the t.v. but if I see her starting to chew on something she shouldn't I just correct her by telling her nnnoooo and give her a doggie toy. We are still working on it but she is getting the point little by little. The pee pee training was easy she pees on the pads I keep out two of em and the going number 2 everywhere is harder but she is learning little by little. They need guidence and attention and plenty of play to make em tired at night lol. Good Luck!!! I need some here
