| Need Help With Something Odd I am going nuts. I have two problems. First, my little girl is 4 1/2 months old. She knows how to go in her liter tray I have lined with newspapers so thats not the problem. When she goes in it she either pees on her feet or sometimes as shes walking off her paws get in it. It is being tracked all over the house. I currently have her liter tray by the back door in the dinig area which is tiled, but the family room is right there and that has carpet. This is really frustrating me. When it gets warmer here in MI I want to fully train her to go outside only, will this be possible since she is using in inside now? Secondly, I take her to bed with me every night. Recently she has had a few accidents on the bed. She peed at the foot of the bed about 3 times and she did a #2 in there once. This really made me feel sick. luckly my husbad woke up and we noticed what she had done. She hasnt did anything on there for about a week, but I am really afraid she will make a habit out of this. Any thoughts on what I can do. I plan to get her some steps to get up and down out of my bed. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Maybe using a wee wee pad instead of newspaper will absorb the pee better. Also , if she can't get of the bed during the night you may need to put stairs there. I didn't let Cali sleep in my bed until I was sure whe souldn't pee on the bed. The first few nights on the bed she would run down the stairs by the bed and go to her wee we pad in the middle of the night. After that she startd sleeoing all night and getting up in the morning and run to her pad and then come back up and kiss me.

| Babyella, I would put an old ratty towel beside the litter box/newspapers for her to walk across when she finishes her business. That way, she'd be wiping her own feet and you can throw the towel into the wash when you need to. I'm not as nice as you. If my pup ever poops or pees in my bed, that would be the end of his sleeping in my bed! However, Joey isn't normally allowed to sleep with me anyway. You could try limiting food and water intake for the last couple of hours before bedtime so that she is less likely to need to go during the night. Good luck!
