Default Pee pads to going outside

Freyja was pee pad trained last year when we got her and the winters are cold. This summer we have been taking her out to pee about every 4 hours and she has been doing great. However lately she has taken to pooping on our hall rug. I've been using Nature's Miracle spray and even shampooed the rug. When we went away she was even good about going outside.
Two problems:
1) We always have to take her out. She won't signal us that she needs to go. We tried jingle bells on the door, but they freaked her out. What next?

2) She always poops in my daughter and son-in-laws house and they do not have a sense of humor at all In fact she is "banned" from their house.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We started working with Stella when she came home. I use Potty Training Aid spray by Simple Solutions purchased at Pet Smart and Arm & Hammer potty pads from Target. Everytime she used the pad we would tell her how good she was and give her a treat. Now when she goes and we don't see her she will walk over to us then back to the pad and then us again and with a looks that says "what are you waiting for, I did it" We also use the Simple Solutions Stain & Odor remover for any accidents or misses.

Meeko uses his pad everywhere we go,whether friends, family or hotels. I think he's major turning point was when we took him on a weeks vacation. It was a road trip where each night we were in a different hotel. Yet, he was constisant on using his pad, even better than he was at home. Then when we got home, he continued to be a great boy and used his pad. Before the vacation, he was kinda hit and miss.

We started out housebreaking our pup by taking him outside but I am not always able to make it home during the day to let him out so we recently switched to a litter box. During the day he is left in a small bathroom with his bed, water, toys and the litter box. After the first day he consistently goes in the box. However if we open up the door to the kitchen he will always go on the linoleum instead of going back into where the box is, any suggestions? How long does it normally take to housebreak a yorkie?

Default wee wee pads

Our gal began using the litter boxes at about 3 mos. We put 3 of them strategically around our ranch house. She is now 13 mos. and goes potty outside like a big girl. Its getting cold on Long Island so we put her coat on but I dont think she will go back to the boxes as she now calls me to let her out if I forget. Good luck

Default Cooper

Cooper is 16 months old . I have had him for about 2 months. he came from a home where he was one of 2 dogs, both the same age. I leave Cooper in a crate during the day while I am at work, and take him outside as soon as I get home. he always goes outside, but still pees and poops in the house at other times!! I have a puppy pad down but he ignores it. I also have a Maltece that goes aut as well, but will use puppy pads at night or if I am gone from home to long for her. When Cooper does something on the floor I scold him and put him on the puppy pad, but he just doesnt seem to get it !! Anyone have any ideas on what else I can do to get him fully trained? Hes the sweetest little thing , I dont plan to give up on him, but I really go through lots of natures miracle trying to clean up after him...

Buddy does now always use the litterbox, he has since about 4 1/2 months. Once in awhile I will find pee on the floor next to the litterbox but that seems to be more of an experiment with lifting his leg than it is an accident. It is getting warmer out now so we will see how going outside goes, I guess as long as he is not using my floor I don't really care which method he prefers.

Guppy just turned a year old. He now lets me know by barking at the door when he needs to go out. As long as I get to him pretty quick he always goes outside, especially at the store when he's with me during the day. Once in a great while he'll go right in front of the door at home, but very rare these days, and pretty much only when one of us isn't there to let him out.

Default Puppy pads

I have bought many brands of puppy pads and EVERY one of them Leaks all the way through!!! I have them on the laundry room floor and it is tile but I have to mop everytime I change the pads.
Is there a pad that keeps the pee in the pad and not on the floor underneath it???? Please help!!! Ronda

How did you make the transition between the litterbox to going outside? Buddy has been using the litterbox for the last 2 months. But now that he likes to lift his leg he does not always keep it in the box!! He will even try to stand outside the box and pee into it LOL.

That is such a good idea...I never thought of wearing panties...Teddi was out playing all day at my brothers this weekend but then she came in the house and went under the pool table and peed!! I'm going to have to get her some of those panties!

The most valuable ting you can give your baby (fur or otherwise) is your time.
Take him out with you for a walk, he will soon be strutting his stuff and marking his turf for all to see/smell. Our lil Roufianna is the scourge of the squirrel population in our neighborhood and after a good barking/growling session religiously marks her turf to warn the little varmits off. Of course a "good potty" or the like will also help show your approval of a successful walk. Do you have a fenced backyard? It helps as follow-through when a walk is not practical and once the idea of going outdoors gets through. Best of luck.

Now, the problem is that she still insists on peeing on my moms area rug in under the dining room table. I don't know why she does this??? We have some area rugs at home, so I don't think it's because she hasn't experienced a rug before. Each time she does her thing there we clean it with Nature's Miracle, so I don't think it's the smell that makes her keep going there. My mom thinks Esme is the cutest, so she doesn't get upset. But, I am wondering, will she ever be potty trained in my mom's house too?? When dogs are completely pee pad trained, does that mean they will ONLY go on the pads wherever they are? Or will she only go on the pads, at home?
I am really curious about this.
Mari

Maybe either take the area rug up when your there or put a diaper on the dog. Dogs can be totally house broken but for some odd reason, some just can't resisit the temptation to "mark".

I order Annie's from Dr.Smith and Foster. I get the extra absorbent...they are
great and no leaks. They are heavy enough that they don't blow around also.
