How old was your Yorkie if you started obedience classes?

Obedience clsses are more for the parents though...lol. We were taught how to give commands, what tones to use, what your body language should be. In other words, how to be an Alpha Dog.

Aggie started when she was about 10 weeks. She was the smallest puppy in the class even though the class was for small breeds. I'm planning to take her back for another series (six classes) for her to learn how to play with other dogs (IMO I think that's what they enjoy the most from the classes).

Last but not least (sorry it's so long), I'd look for a class that is for small breed dogs. That was pretty important.

My male, Odie, is 7 months old and he is starting next Wednesday. I am so excited. The obedience trainers say as young as 6 months. I would get enrolled now. My Yorkie likes to do many things that he knows mommy doesn't like and tests me quite a bit. NOW IS THE TIME!!! Do it! You will not regret it.

Rosi started @ 1 yr, but she might flunk tonight as i havent worked with her all week, House is getting a partial remodel and got people crawling all over the place and Rosi got to supervise everything, so she dont got her mind on things....
