I need suggestions Gidget is now 7 mos. Until she had her shots completed at 16 weeks, she used the pee pad. When I started taking her outside to do her business, she decided she really liked that better than the pee pad. She's very good about letting me know when she needs to go outside, sleeps all night without getting me up to take her outside. Now, my problem is when I need to leave her for 3-4 hrs (i.e. going to church, the doctor, grocery shopping, etc.) she bypasses the pee pad and pees on the floor. I got a wire cage to put her in when I left but she absolutely went ballistic when I put her in. So that didn't seem to work. My problem is that I'm going to be moving into a 500+ square foot apartment and there won't really be a room large enough to confine her when I need to leave. Is there something else I can get for her to stay in while I'm gone and can't take her with me. Suggestions PLEASE.

Has anyone had an experience with the puppy apartment? Am thinking this might be the answer for me.

We had been putting Max who is 13 weeks old in the bathroom with his bed, toys, lunch and a pee pad. I'm not crazy about that as a backup(he won't be kennels either) but when I'm gone better than mopping the floor. I put a gate up instead of shutting the door so he doesn't feel confined. But we are knocking on wood. I think he gets it. I'm home during the day and he goes to the door so I let him out. If we are gone he uses the backup which is the pee pads. I'm taking a bath tonight and when no one was there to let him out he came upstairs and used the pee pad in the bathroom. Hoping this keeps up!
