| Attacking neighbours dog Hello, I have lived beside a German shepherd for 2 years and my 4 year old yorkie barks every time the dogs walks past and on 2 occasions attacked the dog! Thankfully the other dog is 13 years old and is very gentle. My dog is fine with the other 7 different big and small dogs where I live and is happy to play with them. I have taken them to unfamiliar territory on leads and tried to get them to be ok with each other and my yorkie went crazy the whole time. Any ideas if what I can do as I have no trust in him no and I have to lock him inside all the time?? |

| Never let your dog off-leash when outside unless you are in a fenced area and then only if your dog is alone or with dogs he knows and gets along with. You must leash your dog when outside of a fenced yard in order to keep him safe. He could initiate or become the victim of sudden, vicious dog attack with a young, aggressive 120 lb. Akita or other big, powerful dog next time or run off and get lost forever or get hit by a vehicle, cause a wreck because a driver is swerving to avoid him or a person could steal him. Remember that responsible dog owners keep their dogs leashed unless they are in a fenced in area for the dog's safety and general well being of all.

| Wow! A 13 year old GSD! There may be something medically wrong with the dog and your dog picks up on it. Some dogs will attack weakened or sick dogs.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hello and welcome to YT. I would have to agree. Maybe he is picking up on the fact that the GSD is sick. Sometimes other dogs will pick on the weak
