Never let your dog off-leash when outside unless you are in a fenced area and then only if your dog is alone or with dogs he knows and gets along with. You must leash your dog when outside of a fenced yard in order to keep him safe. He could initiate or become the victim of sudden, vicious dog attack with a young, aggressive 120 lb. Akita or other big, powerful dog next time or run off and get lost forever or get hit by a vehicle, cause a wreck because a driver is swerving to avoid him or a person could steal him. Remember that responsible dog owners keep their dogs leashed unless they are in a fenced in area for the dog's safety and general well being of all.
