| ![]() I would get her and your self a behaviorist and get to work one her. First and for most the dog does not want to be boss but it will run the show if you do not. The dog is in need some guidelines and if you are not the guider, they will. I would also if you take her to an obedience class if someone IE the trainer says get tough run the other way. You never have to be tough on a dog to train ever. A dog that is tired is a dog that is not getting into any trouble as it is asleep. So wear her out. Also there are tons of great book on handling active and feisty dogs. Give me a Pm if you are interested and I can pass them along to you. She is looking for you to set the house rules and in the void of you not she is. You may think you are but she is telling very clearly she not understanding them. So out her to work and everything she needs she earns by sitting or down or what every trick she is able to do. Ask once for her to do it and wait her out till she does it treat her by giving her access to outside, a toy, supper or you. Dealing with feisty babies is one of my pet projects as I live with one and she is a good kid as much as she can be. Joy Last edited by Yorkie Mum; 12-15-2005 at 08:15 PM. |
