| a day without pooping... ...well not exactly but at least 7 hours though. Is this normal? All I can seem to do is get her to pee outside today. Since I've had her she has always pooped like every 3-4 hours, but not today. I take her out when she is whimpering in her crate, and stay out there about 15 minutes (cant stay much more cause I have a toddler in the house and its freezing out and I dont want her to get sick), and she just pees and then plays and plays! I brign her back in, and put her in the crate, so needless to say its almost like she has been in her crate all day because of this *game*. Am I doing it right? cause I know its past time for her to poop and if I let her roam free even in the room Im in, I have a feeling she will poop so thats why I am putting her in the crate til' she does poop! But is it normal for her to not poop for this long or if it happens, all day?

| If you think she is consipated you might try giving her some canned(unsalted) pumkin. The fiber will help balance her digestive system. |

| Im not really sure if she is constipated or its just the meanness in her! lol Honestly this sounds like one of her tricks.. I guess Im gonna let her roam around a bit just so I dont feel so guilty for her being in there so long.

| I don't think it's meanness or manipulation! I think either she doesn't have to poop (my dog frequently goes that long without pooping) or she can't make herself poop when she is sooo cold. |

| Believe me -- as long as my puppy is happy and playful - I don't worry much about how often he goes to the bathroom. Sometimes - he goes often and sometimes he goes almost all day without going. A lot of it depends othe amount and types of food and fluids that are traveling through him. At least wait until tomorrow before you get concerned. He's probably just fine. My pup is about 3 months old and most days goes only once. Keep an eye on him "tomorrow." Good luck - Carol Jean |
