Believe me -- as long as my puppy is happy and playful - I don't worry much about how often he goes to the bathroom. Sometimes - he goes often and sometimes he goes almost all day without going. A lot of it depends othe amount and types of food and fluids that are traveling through him.
At least wait until tomorrow before you get concerned. He's probably just fine.
My pup is about 3 months old and most days goes only once.
Keep an eye on him "tomorrow."
