| 4 yr. old yorkie has STARTED pottying in house? Peanut is 4 years old and was doing wonderful with his pottying OUTSIDE. He was not having any accidents and NOW.....that is a total different story. He has started peeing and pooping in the floor. Will do this even when I take him out???? I am so confused. The only thing different is that I am having to doggie sit for an elderly friend of mine that has a 15 year old yorkie and he pees and poops in the house. I am going NUTS over all this mess. Any ideas? If not, that is o.k. I got vent!!!

| I have a feeling that Peanut is now trying to mark his territory. My mother has a fox terrier that is 14 years old and NEVER used the bathroom in the house, UNTIL my brother brought his 2 new chihuahuas to visit. All the chihuahuas had to do was pee on the carpet and now mom's dog "marks" her territory by doing #1 & #2 in the house!!! UGH!! Sorry, but I can't offer any suggestions to help you because I haven't figured that out myself.

| Peanut might be copying the other dog thinking, well that dog can do it-why can't I. Or Peanut wants to leave his scent to let the other dog know that this is Peanut's house!! I don't have any suggestions but I do wish you good luck with this! |

| Thanks for the suggestons/ideas as to why he is/might be doing this. I hope it stops...SOON!!! Driving me crazy. I am afraid my husband will totally lose his cool. He would never hurt him, that is not what I mean. But, he might ask me to get rid of him and I can't stand that thought. It makes me so sad to think of him not being here. But, Iwill continue to work with hima nd my DH knows this. HE also knows how much Ilove these little babies.

| I am so sorry to hear that Peanut is having potty problems. My Sadie is 4 years old she will do the same thing. If I have any fosters it kinda throws all of mine off. The foster will potty in the house and then some of mine will do the same thing. My only suggestion would to be try using a belly band on him while you are sitting the other dog. They might at least prevent the urine from getting on the floor and furniture. I would use it on both dogs. If you are looking at purchasing belly bands, Bo, MOM TO HOT ROD makes wonderful belly bands and they are fantastic. She is great to work with and is fast. Good Luck.

| Side note too, sometimes urinary tract infections can cause peeing and pooing in the house and they can be brought on by stress or changes in the environment, you may want to get him checked out just in case |
