I have the Poochie Bells that do hang from the doorknob. I would just walk her to the door, say potty, tap the bells, then go out with her. It took several weeks of this before she started tapping them herself. You just need to keep at it & be consistent.

We are on day 3 of no accidents in the house since she's learned to ring the bells! She's even began ringing them to go out to poo!! Maybe this is it...maybe we are going to officially be housetrained! Fingers crossed...
