| Please Help! My Yorkie is starting to bite :( My Yorkie, Bella, will be 5 in October. She's always been very lovable and calm. Since I moved back home with my parents 8 months ago, she has become very aggressive towards my dad. If he gets up to walk anywhere in the house she runs over to him, barking like crazy, biting his legs. She has even made him bleed once. If he is sitting in his chair she jumps in his lap and wants to cuddle. I'm not sure what to make of this behavior. Does she need more exercise? More affection? I'm at a loss here and it worries me that she is so aggressive towards a member of my family. Any advice is very much appreciated! Thanks!

Well maybe cause Dad is walking she perceives a threat for some doggie reason. Here is what you and Dad could try. Dad feeds her, Dad walks her even if only for 10 - 15 minutes or so. Dad starts out playing with her sitting down. Throws the toy, do this a couple of times, then let him stand. Throw toy some more. I hope that it will work itself out. Your not alone with this response with a Yorkie. My Razz started at about a year old to growl when my husband bent over to kiss me, and particularly when Razz was having some bedtime with me. We've had Razz since about 14wks old, so he knew my hubby always. Our remedy was different, if he growled on the bed he immediately got put down on the floor, with a firm no. He doesn't growl anymore. Let us know how it goes.

| My 3 year old yorkie will nip only me when the phone rings! She is shy, sweet, lovable.... not aggressive at all.... But when the phone rings and I get up to get it she barks and nips at me! It's weird. I tell her no, and I have even stopped to deal with her and let the phone just ring and miss the call to get her under control. Yikes what am I doing wrong?
