Does she need more exercise? More affection? I'm at a loss here and it worries me that she is so aggressive towards a member of my family. Any advice is very much appreciated!

Well maybe cause Dad is walking she perceives a threat for some doggie reason. Here is what you and Dad could try. Dad feeds her, Dad walks her even if only for 10 - 15 minutes or so.
Dad starts out playing with her sitting down. Throws the toy, do this a couple of times, then let him stand. Throw toy some more.
I hope that it will work itself out. Your not alone with this response with a Yorkie.
My Razz started at about a year old to growl when my husband bent over to kiss me, and particularly when Razz was having some bedtime with me.
We've had Razz since about 14wks old, so he knew my hubby always.
Our remedy was different, if he growled on the bed he immediately got put down on the floor, with a firm no. He doesn't growl anymore.
Let us know how it goes.
