| HELP!!! I need help with potty training! My little Lexie was doing great with her potty training until recently. We have her going on a training pad instead of going outside, and we want her to go on her training pad because we don't want the bugs that we have on the grass to bite her. The grass also seems to poke her and we don't want to take her out to pee when the weather is bad. I also heard that you can litter box train little dogs, but I don't know it that would be a good idea. We take her to her pad so she can pee, but she recently hasn't been peeing there.

| How old is she and how consistent are you? If she's young, try taking her every 2 hours or less and stay with her there for 20 mins. If she's not fully potty trained, do not give her free roam. If you allow her out of her crate, or ex-pen, make sure you will give her 100% of your attention. Learn what her signs for potty are (ex. sniffing, circling, etc) and as soon as you see them, pick her up and take her to the pad. I had to re-train my then one and a half year old to potty pads after he'd been going outside for a year. Let me tell you, it wasn't easy and it wasn't fun. He spent a lot of time in his ex-pen if I couldn't watch him and we spent 20 minutes on the pad. He was only allowed to come and play or follow me around after he went piddle on the pad. Remember, her mistakes are your mistakes too. If you need any more help, feel free to post. Hopefully, someone who has done it a different way posts so you can get more suggestions and tailor something to fit your needs as well as your baby's needs.

| She is about 3 months old. We take her to the pad every time that she wakes up or if she hasn't gone in a while. We pay attention to her a lot, but it's hard to be quick enough to catch her so she can finish doing her business in the pad. The other times that we caught her peeing outside the pad she already finished peeing by the time we caught her and put her in the pad. I would say that she is about 50% potty trained because she sometimes goes to her pad all by herself to do her business. I saw some drops at the store that you could put on the pad so every time they smell it that would make them want to pee there, but I don't know if that would be a good idea because I don't want her to get used to only going in the pad whenever she smells those drops.

| Instead of drops, dab the pad with her pee. Gross I know, but that worked for Kaji. When I was changing the pad, I would get the new one, dab some of the pee on there. It's less expensive, it's her scent, and you'll never have to run to the store to get it.
