| Glad to hear the good news... just a note: It can take a few months after neutering for the hormones to get out of their system. Once that happens, you may see a bigger change in his attitude, and lots less marking around the house. And the treat for a sock exchange... sometimes offering a Yorkie something in exchange is a quicker way to get something from them, especially if what they have is dangerous to them. Teaching them 'Drop it' is best, but until they learn that, exchange for a treat is fine, as long as it gets the object out of his mouth, quickly.

| Yes, you really have to be patient with these things. Just like I'm sure you don't trust someone the minute you meet them, a little dog will likely not either. Especially one that's been thrown in a new environment so suddenly. I adopted Alex about 4 months ago and he is just now getting to the stage where he let me pick him up and cuddle with him. Alex is a sweet, loving dog, but sometimes it just takes time for these things. Also, you have to keep in mind that we must look HUGE to these little guys. Unless they completely trust you, I am sure it's kind of overwhelming to have something 10x your size scooping you up 5 feet off the ground. If something that much bigger than me was trying to pick me up, I'd probably growl at them too!
