| I've seen some that were really cute - but the other day I saw one that was downright orange in color. I didn't like the orange color at all.

| Yes I think so. Cooper is brown, gray, black. He's very multicolored. I think if I cared about the color of a dog I would have gotten a pure breed dog. I wouldn't care if Cooper was pink and gold.

The only way to guarantee a specific color for a dog is 1) Get a purebred, your chances of getting what you want increase dramatically. 2) Get an older dog like a rescue. Even with yorkies, there is an array of colors. I for one just had to have (yes, I know how silly that sounds now) a darker colored yorkie. I got exactly that, but I didn't get a puppy. Kaji was not a puppy, but he was exactly what I wanted and is the perfect little dog. I him so much.

| Sometimes, even if you buy a purebred you get a surprise on the color!! I have 2 purbred AKC yorkies from the same litter and they are as different as night and day. Binky is a very pale blond silver yorkie and his sister Bunny is as black as night. She will stay black and tan her whole life. So you never know, you just have to love what you get and you will!! No matter what color or size!!

| I have two morkies. When I got Calvin at 11 weeks he was black, tan and white. Now at almost 6 mos he is silver on top of his head but the rest has so far stayed the same. Bella is a medium caramel color with black on the tips of her fur. She is 12 weeks, so I dont know what she is going to end up looking like. Also, Calvin's fur is straight and silky and Bella's is poofy like a cotton ball. They have the same father (yorkie) but different mothers (both maltese)... |
