| Can a 5 month yorkie still be trained? I am adopting a 5 month old Yorkie. Can the puppy still be trained? I am not sure how young they have to be to learn at their best. |

| So are you for sure getting yorkie #1 then? I'm so confused! LOL Yes, 5 months is still plenty young for training though. Lexi was 4 months when I got her.

| I am getting Mango! She was under the available Yorkies part of the forum, I forget the exact name. But she had a video posted of Mango playing with Mommy Yorkie! I'm so excited! My first Yorkie! |

| Congrats on your new puppy. Bogie was 10 months when we got him. He was 90% potty trained and has been a breeze to train. You should be fine.

| I taught my then one year old to ask to be picked up like a little kid. He comes right up to me and puts his paws up, like he's reaching for me, and when I pick him up, he lifts his back legs almost like a little jump.

| Honestly that was a fluke. I just started asking him if he wanted to be picked up before I actually picked him up and eventually he knew it was coming and would jump up.
