Does neutering make that big of a difference for marking? Do neutered males still mark? Teddy will go week without marking, then something will set him off and his emotions seem to show a lot in his ears - he has naughty dog ears on some days! On those days he marks in the house. I got him from a breeder and he is 2 - I've had Teddy for about 8 weeks and he is a real sweetie most days.

It does, especially when it is done early on. The hormones drive the marking behavior. No hormones= no behavior. But if they are older, it also becomes a bad habit. You can always train them not to mark, and that is always easier when they are neutered. Neutering alone doesn't always fix the problem, but it helps.

No not for another few months, and I'm hoping to get her spayed (finally!) before then!
