Roxy has no real tricks

This is sad....she is so darn cute though!!! She Loves to play with her toys. Right now as I am typing she is putting her toy on my keyboard and growling at me so I will throw it. If I dont throw it she climbs on the keyboard of my laptop and stares at me....shes so darn funny!!! She also knows my kids my name, I guess that is a trick. I will tell her "Find Eli" and she will go to him and bark. She does this with everyone in the house.

Now if I could only teach her to "sit" (she lays down.)

We have gotten Katie doing the "shamu" which is having her jump up pretty high to get her kibble, like how Shamu does it out of the water to get his fish. And since she's a little butterball, she kind of looks like a whale.

OMG uni is so adorable in those clips!! I love the fainting!!! I should train Roxy to so that when she sniffs my husbands feet....thats some bad stuff right there!!

You have a right to brag!!! Uni is so freakin' cute and I just love her Jack Sparrow run, now THAT is unique and hilarious lol. All those videos are. Uni needs to fly to MD and teach Jackson how to play basketball lol.

Hmm... unique for Jackson.. I mean he knows a ton of tricks but I got them all from other peoples videos and a trick book so I don't know if they're "unique."

I guess the more unique ones would be limping on command, getting me a tissue, saying his prayers... the rest are the roll overs, play deads, etc but I'm so proud of everything he's learned and he's my smart little buddy!

How did I teach Uni? I have waaaaaay too much time on my hands!

the Jack Sparrow run anyone can teach, just make them stand up and pull the kibble away, and they will "walk" but Uni does it all funny and drunken style, so we named it the Jack sparrow run. the fainting, we tried to teach bang! play dead, and she got scared of the bang noise, so we had her lay down and did the bad breath thing since we are bad breathed rum soaked pirates. Our friend said she does that so well bc our breath really stinks!

Brit, I think Jackson's unique trick is the limp. I for the life of me CANNOT get uni to do it. I gave up. And he got it in like 2 days.

Me too!!! LOL.

Oh and I am still working on getting Jackson to limp longer tho! I want him to limp more than 3 times! So we're working on that.

My two favorite tricksters!!! Britster, you're going to have to get in line. Kaji's after Katie for "Trick Boot Camp."
Priscilla, I finally got Kaji to crawl!! He does it more like an army crawl because he exaggerates the "arm" movement. We're thinking of strapping a toy gun to his back and calling it the army crawl.

Kaji is so funny! I played the vid where Uni is catching her kibble, and he sat up after her first bark, watched the entire thing cocking his head, and when it was over he just went back to sleep. I guess he was disappointed Uni disappeared from the screen.

I love seeing all the different things that other dogs can do. I've got to get busy, love the different tricks. Always looking for something different to teach them!

Too funny! Uni misses Kaji too! Yesterday I asked her if she was ready to see Kaji on sunday. I said, Do you miss Kaji? *head cocked* Are you ready to see him on sunday? *head cocks more* Are you ready for the meetup? *head cocks yet even further* (always to the right mind you)

Yay on the army crawl! Still working on the crawl with Katie. Not much progress.

Yes, a video! I have thought about doing this and maybe today will be the day. I need to find a friend or use a tripod. Fast action like this is very hard to capture especially when the object (Jonah) is small and I throw the ball quite far. But, it will be more fun then the chore I should be doing (staining the deck)!

Bax is so bad with tricks, we'll have to keep working on them! He get's "sit" and "lay down" mixed up (if he listens at all). I usually get a look like "um, no." He does come to me, and he knows jump up, move please (for when he's under my feet or in the way), go get Wendy (my little sister), cuddle (he'll come lay with me when i tell him that), go home (when we're outside), go play (when he's super annoying), and the most adorable: kisses. I can either say kisses, make a kissy face or noise and he'll run up and give kisses. That's the only one he's got down 100%. We're working on it!

Bentley has 2 fantastic tricks!

1. Patience, he know is I am trying to teach him something, and he plays "dumb" long enough, I'll give up!

Smart boy, eh?

I am so-o proud!

2. "Spit it out", no matter what it is a mitten, paper, toy, or dinner, he pushes it out of his mouth

with his tongue,

then looks at me to see if I am going to try to take it! If I want it, I say "leave it", 98% of the time he will. (I never say leave it with kibble, that I've asked him to spit out... that would be mean!)

He also dances, but that isn't unique... he jumps up and does a really clumsy looking spin, and repeats, until he gets the treat!
