| I did it, Buddy has a personal trainer and I"m so happy with her. Within 15mins of our first session yesterday she pinpointed his sporatic bad behavior. Resource Guarding. I knew it was something regarding guarding but was clueless as to the cause. I feel so confident my Bud will be the best he can be and I the best I can be as his owner that I feel more relaxed than I have in months. He proformed perfectly for her and was a love. It's the inconsistency that had me going nut's. We're both on the road, now, to only good times ahead. In about 6 weeks he should be wonder dog |

| Good luck Buddy!! Maggie started training at the SPCA and has had two classes. The first week she was scared to death and did not move a muscle. She was better at the second class. When I worked with her tonight I was so proud of her, I think the light bulb came on (at least for a while!!). Go Buddy!! Go Maggie!!

| Thanks for your good thoughts. Buddy is doing great. The bite to my granddaughter made me finally get in a professional. He loves those kids and is just a great dog but I had to understand why he did this. It was eating me alive not knowing or understanding. With all the reading I did before I got him and after and all the at home training I did with him he still, for whatever reason did sporatic guarding. It drove me nut's. Now I understand it and know what to look for and how to avoid it. He's such a quick learner. We're having fun with all the new training and leaning. He's actually walking on a leash next to me for the most part. Another thing we needed to work on. After these private classes I am going to sign him up for group sessions at her facility. I'm loving it and so is Buddy. |
