| Litterbox Training Hi, I noticed that all of you who work use pee pads. Does anyone use litterbox for dogs? Right now the breeder has been training Chewie with pee pads. Once he comes home I would like to train him to the bell so he can use it outside. But at the same time I am worried that once the snow starts (we live in Michigan) he could get sick since he will only be about 3 months. Plus I will be going back to work, so I need something so that he can relieve himself while I am away. So any thoughts on litterbox training would be helpful |

| I have a dog litter box!! I have the Rascal dog litter box, and love it! I live in Iowa and you just dont know what the weather will be. The box is great, has side that help contain them, I get to wash the grass when needed and I use newspaper on the bottom that cost me nothing. I got the extra grass to switch out when I wash the dirty one. I can not say enought great things about it, I LOVE IT!! Just so that you know, I also take my yorkie outside too. It can work both way! Check it out at www.rascaldoglitterbox.com |

| Thank you so much for the info. I just have one question, how is the odor? I mean, do you have to change the newpaper everyday to keep the smell down? How old was your yorkie when you started training it to use this litterbox? Do you have extra grass for in between when your washing others? Did you have to use the spray? Do you find that having multiple boxes helps to eliminate accidents? Sorry for all the questions, I am just excited about the possibilites. |

2) I do change the newpaper everyday, not because it smells, just prefer to though it out after it is wet. I did use the pee pad under it for a while and they seemd to hold the smell more than the newpaper. Plus, extra cost. 3) My yorkie was 3 months old, took to it very fast. I got the box before I got the dog. I just know that I need something for it to use. 4) Yes, I have extra grass to switch out when I wash the dirty one. I wash the grass about 1 a week. 5) I don't not have the spray. 6) I only have the one box in the house. I have it in an xpen with her during the day. I have not let her run free all day yet. When she is out of the pen she will sniff and go to the door to be let out to pee. We do have accidents, but she is still a puppy. You can ask any question, glad to help! I truly love it! | |

| Purina dog litter box I got this litter box to see if I could get Tobi to use it and if has worked great. I use a cheap recycled paper litter now that is sold by Petsmart in the cat litter dept. I used the purina but found it to be very expensive. I use pee pads also just to help keep the box cleaner. Tobi goes potty outside most of the time by using the bell to let us know he wants to go out and in emergencies, he goes to his litter box which works great with all the rainy weather in Florida! Litter box training is GREAT!!!

| Dog Litter Boxes I recently purchased the Rascal Dog Litter Box system and I can't say enough good things about the product AND company! The system is superior to what is out on the market and in addition, the service and training tips the owner of the company provided were most helpful and appreciated! Our precious little Yorkie was trained in no time and what a God send for this wonderful product since we live in Minnesota! Check out the website at www.rascaldoglitterbox.com You'll be glad you did! And so will your YORKIE!!! Mara |

| So glad that you love yours as much as I love mine!! I have to tell you a story, I had some pheasent hunter come to my house this weekend that come every year. This year I add have my little girl Tessa to the group, with all those big hunting dogs and it was fun to see them play. But one of the guys that come are not for small dogs. He asked me right away what that box was for, could not believe that I would use such a thing. He did not know what to say when she did her duties in the box. He first asked how did you get her to do that? Then the question keep coming. He was so amazed by this product and how it did not smell the house up, how she would use it if need, and then still went outside also. He thought that would of even worked for his older dog that got to where it had a hard time going outside. By the time he left he was still amazed by the box. WHAT A GREAT PRODUCT! |

| Rascal Dog Litter Box Hi! IF you have the Rascal Dog Litter Box system (as we have) it should be big enough for a 9 month old Yorkie. I'm guessing since you said that your dog is no longer wanting to use it because she's "outgrown" it, that perhaps you have one of those flat, smaller box type by another company. You might want to go to the www.rascaldoglitterbox.com website to view the system. It is superior to ANY other dog litter box on the market. Our little Yorkie took to it right away and has NO problems using it and then going outside too (when weather permits). I would additionally mention, you can email the owner of the company and she will help you with any suggestions, problems you might be having with regard to training. I believe she has tips right on the website. GREAT customer service and a pleasure doing business with! Good Luck! |

| We use a litterbox, but we just use pads in it and it works great. We actually put one pad in the box and Wrigley uses that one and then we keep one pad down and Camden uses that one! They both will go outside and inside, which is great for when the weather changes!

| I use the potty patch. Price was a big consideration for me and it was pretty reasonably priced - under $40. I think the rascal was quite a bit more as I recall so that's why I haven't tried that one. I have to say I'm really happy with the potty patch. I weaned a litter of puppies to it and their new owners have said they've never had a pup as easy to housebreak. It's basically a piece of artificial grass that fits into a plastic tray(looks like a boot tray). Good luck whatever you decide to do! |
