Bell Training to go Potty

Lily is 12 wks. The 1st couple of days after getting her she slept till almost 7. For some reason since than she'll get up around 3 or 4 to go potty. Do you have any other suggestions?

I would feel her in the evening and take her out , after I will not let her drink too much water, u need to limit her intake after her last walk , and I would put her in her crate, I hope this works. Once she is finish training, u should leave the water out all the time, but if she gets up too early like 3:00 am , I would limited water after her last walk, until she hold it all night.
I would put a good thick blanket in with her in the crate, I have always use 2 blankets for the furbabies , I have 3 and they all have a least 2 each they will either sleep under them on on top of them and they go to sleep at 9o pm until 7:00 am or 7:30 am, if I get up early they will get up with me at 6o am, but I will send them back to bed right after they go out for a little while longer. Like u said she may be getting cold !! Hell I get up if I'm cold and go potty LOL !!!!!. And start the bell at least during the day and evening.

We trained Sophie with the "Tell Bell". It came with a training DVD, and two bells. IT REALLY WORKS! She "tells" us when she has to go potty by ringing the bell. Very funny, because if you don't go to the door quick enough, she'll ring it a second time! She even rings the bell at my office and in our RV on road trips! Love the bell!

That's so cool you got a DVD with it, I pay 17.00 at a pet store for the Poochie- Bells and just got bells. I'm also going to make a few more myself to hang on the front door and the garage door, This way they won't miss those bells LOL !!!!

Hi my Skooter is 11 months. He was wee-wee pad trained in a specific spot in the house. When I go to my daughter's home with him I would take a wee-wee pad and he would go there... very intelligent, no accidents.

But, I have been noticing that when I come home in the afternoon (I leave Skooter fenced in the kitchen area) the wee-wee pad was dry. So I started picking him up and taking him outside and he would go #1. It took a little longer with #2 although he's getting the hang of it. He himself is weening himself out of the wee-wee pad to go outside.

I am now going to hang the bell next to the door and ring it everytime we go so that he can get used to that too. I think it's awesome.

I bought my bells from Welcome To Poochie Bells. My Zoey rings it about 50/50 when downstairs, but when upstairs, she just swats! She also has accidents often when she gets a little free roam time to play rough with her big brothers.

This is my first Yorkie & I'm finding her WAYYYY harder to potty train than my 2 Maltese boys who are now 5. I also have a 1 yr old rescue Chihuahua who was already house trained. I'm really losing it! It's so exhausting and I wonder if she'll ever grow up to be an enjoyable pet like my boys.
