| ![]() Thanks for the tips! I"m building us a teeter at home to practice on. The ;small dog agility classes at the facility I train at just stopped because there were only two of us, not enough $$ to justify the class. I won't go to big dog agility there because we had a sheltie chase Hyun So through the tunnel and it didn't bother anyone but us. That doesn't make us feel safe. So...we're back to the back yard and sort of on our own for now. BTW are you familiar with TDAA? I think Eddie would be awesome at their big trial in Vermont! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | ![]() Great idea to build a teeter for the backyard. I did that, and it's a big part of the reason Eddie was able to continue with agility after we dropped out once. You can find lots of cool designs on the internet, for jumps too. For a tunnel, I just went to Toys 'R Us and bought a 10-foot kids' tunnel. Works great. If you're thinking about someday entering a trial, don't give up on the big-dog classes altogether. Try to work with the instructor to make sure you can protect your dog. The socialization is going to be important at a trial. But for fun, you can't beat a course in your backyard!

| ![]() Congrats! This is inspiring me to want to go back to agility classes with Paddy. Haven't been since we moved but he was really good at it around this time last year.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() I'm not sure what all of this is about...LOL...but I think it's what I like to watch on tv whenever I happen to catch it. Where and how can I see the video? Congrats, Eddie...that much I did understand! (By the way, is there a particular length the tunnel has to be? I bought one "just for fun" for our backyard at Oriental Trading. I'm not sure if it is what you're talking about for practice but if so, it's probably a better buy than the other store. You can generally get free shipping from them, too. It's a company teachers use alot to buy classroom incentives.) Here's the link in case it's something you can use: Parachutes, Tents & Tunnels |

Here's the link to the thread where I posted videos. Eddie ran some novice courses, so it's probably not as difficult as the courses you saw on TV. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...trial-vid.html
