| Crate Retraining - 15 Month Old We got our Peanut when she was 7 months old. She was crate trained when we got her, only had to potty train About a month after we got her my husband started letting her sleep in our bed (I was out of town). He's home during the day so she has the run of the house most of the time. When we are both gone we use baby gates to keep her in the rooms with tile. We are going on our first road trip with Peanut in May and I know she needs to get used to being in the crate again. I'm not sure why, but she seems to be very skittish/scared about the crate. We've started with placing treats in the crate and letting her get them herself, but I'm concerned about her acting scared. We've never used the crate as any sort of punishment so I'm not sure what has her scared. |
