| help, yorkie keeps pooping in kennel So our rescued yorkie, we've had him since Dec and he's having a hard time being trained. We're kennel training him and at first his kennel was too big so he would urinate and poop in it. Then we put boxes in to make it smaller for him, it's very small now just enough room to lay down. Today he was crying so we let him out and took him to the ugodog and he just layed on it, we left him for 5 minutes then put him back in his kennel. He started crying again and we took him to the ugodog again and he just layed on it again. So we put him back in the kennel and he poops in it and the kennel is so small so he lays in it and cries, to make it worse he's being treated for diarrhea and this is about the 3rd time this week we've had to bath him. How do we teach him to hold it and to go on the ugodog when we take him there? We've tried training sprays, tissues with his urine under the grate, nothing is working. We've been working on it since Dec and trying to get over his submiussive urination |

If he has diarrhea nothing will work, you might want to figure out what causing that. How much time is he spending in the crate? Some dogs are easy to get on a schedule because they poop within 5 minutes after they eat. You might try feeding and taking him for a walk, as this can stimulate the bowls. Remember no harsh punishment even yelling can backfire, and cause such things as submissive urination. Sounds like you need a better schedule. This website has some handy tips. | Well we let him out very often he spends no more then an hour in there without being let out. He doesn't poop or pee in the kennel when we put him and our other yorkie in the same kennel as each other, he only does it when he's by himself. We finished his diarrhea treatment and he still has diarrhea so another trip to the vet on monday. The problem other then that is he doesn't poop in the litter box he waits till we put him back in the kennel for him to poop, but thankfully we've been making progress on him peeing on the litter box |

Also about the diarrhea, are you changing his food much, dogs experience diarrhea if given too many different foods.

| well it's not a litter box, it's the ugodog system. it holds a potty pad and has a grate that goes on top of the potty pad. As for food, our first puppy ate orijen so when we added the second puppy to our family we put him on orijen also and never switched it, but I think a store might have sold us bad salmon oil because their diarrhea started when we added a squirt of it to their food, after we took them to the vet our first dog got better but our other puppy is still suffering from it. Our vet isn't open today so we have to wait till tomorrow to get him there. I'll go buy some of that wash later and after the vet visit tomorrow I hope it'll get a little easier |

| I was so shocked last night when he ran away from me upstairs and ran down the stairs and straight to his potty pad to poop and pee. But I noticed he licked his poop and today he went to his pad again but now he's taking little bites out of his poop |
