| He Marked at a Friend's House!!! Biggie is a 2 year old neutered male. He recently started marking trees in the neighboorhood when we are out walking or when he goes to potty. He was a squatter all the time until just before turning 2. I could have killed Biggie yesterday. We went over to a friend's house to meet my friend's new 2 pound male yorkie. I kept a close eye on Biggie. He was not interested at all in the other dog. He was consumed with smelling and tracking scents on the floor. After a few minutes he came over to the couch I was sitting at and he raised his leg and peed on the couch!!! I was shocked. He had just peed 10 minutes ealier before we came in. Luckily, he only had a few dribbles. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? I know I can just keep him on the leash when visiting friends and family but I feel like there has to be something else I can do to prevent him from marking inside homes. He has NEVER done this at home that I have seen. I hate to have to start keeping him on the leash when we are visiting family. He enjoys when we visit our family. He is so good when we are there. He has never had an accident. I have no clue where the marking came from and why it has just recently started. I don't even know if this is anything to worry about or not. I am so confused. |

| My Chachi normally just marks outside but he will mark inside if there is another dog scent like at :Petsmart so I put a bellyband on him when we go to those types of places

| I have a marker, I won't get him fixed because I don't feel good about it. I put a diapy (diaper) on him when we go to someone else's house. I am glad I do that... by the time we get home its soaked and stinks to high heaven, but at least someone else's house is clean

| Buddy never marks in anyone's house but he won't miss a leaf outdoors. My daughter's pug marks when he comes to visit. It drives me upthe wall. One time he peed in my silk flower arrangement that was in a very large basket sitting on the LR floor! I wanted to kill him! Another time he lifted his leg on the wall when I screamed and he ran down the hall I told her he was a Pig! She just schruged it off. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | It's what they do It's normal for males, neutered or not. My dads Bishon came up with them Sunday and he marked all day long...frustrating but expected. They are going to Dallas in April, and want my daugher...more like ME watch him,so I'm going to put him in belly bands. My 3 males do it at other peoples house with dogs. I won't bring them,or put them in belly bands. They truly help. I know it's embarrassing ,but they are just doing what they do...

| I know this is not a laughing matter, and I agree, when you go to your friends, put a belly band on your little guy(there is a lady that makes them really nice and reasonable with no s&h, and if you're interested pm me), but, that just got me thinking about what my brother and s-i-l's yorkie did one time(and it's a female). We were all up at my Moms up in Illinois, my best friend was over there, I was ready for her to go home as I was tired, but, I never said a word. My s-i-l's yorkie went over to my best friend stood on her arm and peed on it. That never happened before, and has never happened since |

| I think putting a belly band on him when visiting is a really good idea.

| My moms males never did mark when they would come to my house or anyone elses houses. The one has died(he was going on 16), but, the 6 year old one was just here, and even out here in my family room where mine have peed on my berber carpet, he never once lifted his leg. So, not all of them mark when they go to other peoples houses. Mom even took her little one to my brothers million dollar mansion(he has 2 females), no problem there either |
