| ![]() Hi, I have 2 Yorkies aged 9 and 10 and they have always been house trained. They have a catflap to go in and out at any time so can always get out. Over the least few weeks either one or both or them are weeing on the floor INSIDE I dont want to tell them off as I dont know which one is doing it! They can both get in and out really easy so I dont know why this has started. Husband threatening to get rid of them if this doesnt stop! Any suggestions please??? ![]() |

| ![]() I have found that when this happens (I also have 2 yorkies), I usually catch it relatively quickly - we don't let messes sit around. If I get a half-stern voice and ask both of them "WHO DID THIS?!" then the one who did it USUALLY tells on themself - ears back, bulging fearful eyes, looking away, maybe even running to hide under the bed. The other is looking at me like, "Who did what? Will you pet me now?" It's funny how much they actually tell on themself - and although you can't do much to punish at that point, you would at least know which one is doing it and know which to watch. I know when Pixie starts doing that, if I take her outside a few times and she goes when she's out there, then she'll start shaping up again. Usually, she only does it if it's cold or rainy or something - and then I take her out (force her outside) and she'll go. It saves the messes in the house, but I've learned which is doing it and found the pattern of why. Sometimes just the asking - and them telling on themself (maybe a few times) and getting scolded is enough for them to realize they can't get away with it.

| ![]() If it just started at the ages that they are, I would wonder if there was some physical problem like a urinary tract infection. Just something to consider. ![]() |

| ![]() I agree. A dog that has always been well trained doesn't usually start going in the house unless there has been some sort of upheaval in the home or there's a physical cause |

| ![]() Hi everyone, Just thought I would update you. I discovered which one of my two girls was the culprit and then set about finding out what to do next. I took her to the vet and because of her servere skin problem combined with the uncontrolled peeing they thought it best to test her for Cushings. So she spent the day at the vets and it turned out it is not Cushings. So they done lots of other test and this showed her white blood cells are normal which the vet cant understand because she clearly has an infection on her skin and in her ears. So they took further test plus an xray to see if she had a tumor. Thankfully that was ok. Her glands are really swollen too. So they took a sample from her glands and sent further blood samples of to the lab. Everything has come back ok. So the vet is a bit puzzled, (nothing new there) Pepsi is on antibiotics and the peeing has stopped. So a whole day at the vets, a very large bill and still none the wiser. We can only assume she did have a urine infection the antibiotics have now kicked in. Pepsi has had skin problems all her life and no-one has ever found out what her problem is. Now she has funny white blood cells. Maybe she just likes to keep them guessing. ![]()
