| I just have to say, I heard over and over how the commercial products don't work. I tried pineapple for a while but it was messy and made no difference. I finally ordered some Deter for only $6 (8 in 1 Deter coprophagia treatment - Dog.com). Started using it yesterday with giving Bailey half a pill in the morning. By last night she was already leaving her poop alone. It's amazing how fast it started working! She usually eats it immediately. The last two days I've left the house for a few hours and come home to untouched poop! Never thought finding poop in the kitchen when I got home would be so exciting!

| Moved beginning of April, largely mitigating the poopy eating. Critters largely supervised so poop scooped shortly after pooped. Plus Choco the eater gets long walks so significantly diminished chances to eat poo. As I forgot mostly about this concern, today, he went for a chomp at his own(guessing leftovers from some tasty human treats), as I was slow for cleaning curb. Choco never did this b4, mainly poops and scoots, leaving me to dirty work. First offense outdoors and was easily thwarted, so not to worried. But was surprised. Last few weeks, Choco barely looked back at his turds after the deed. Instead zipped away, wondering what the heck I was doing stilling dwelling on his stinky terrain. Scooby on the other hand does an extended circle motion just b4 poo so if off the pee-pad and alert can easily replace pee pad to catch, then scoop and discard quickly/efficiently. So while pineapple, pumpkin can sour taste and deter re-eating, now much less of concern. Still look fwd to time where less supervision and poopy cleany up needed. -tk |

| How long did you try feeding pineapple to your pups? How many pieces did you feed and how often? What food are you feeding?

| I had to jump on board. This thread has made me laugh harder than I had in awhile. I was working on the computer last night, and I knew I smelled a fresh poop. I peeked around the corner and there was my precious little Frankie carrying the dirty log. My brand new baby dropped it immediately when I shouted "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I came home today (He In the crate) Much to my pleasure were 3 untouched little turds. I really think it is a puppy thing. Think about it, babies will pull that stuff out of a diaper, kids eat boogies...all because no one told them not to. And to think I was kissing those cute little lips. Anyway...
