| ugh! im so frusterated with her ok. so tippy pees on potty pads and goes outside as well. well i put out a new pee pad and wanted to let her out. I went outside with her and I told her to pee. And she just stands there looking at me. Then sits down. So I stood out in the cold for like ten minutes waiting for her to go potty. And guess what? She didnt! Ugh. I'm trying to make her pee outside more then inside and it doesnt seem to be working. She doesn't like cold weather and better yet-she hates snow. I'm guessing thats bcuz shes only 2 and a half pounds. Anyone got tips? |

| she's probably confused as to what you want her to do. inside or outside? she probably just doesn't get it. how old is she? for now, i would try one or the other. i'm not too sure. someone else will have better advice. maybe try placing a potty pad outside so she associates it with going potty.

| shes three turning four in march. i would take away the pee pad but she would probably still pee in the area where it used to be because im guessing she could smell it. in summer she does perfectly fine. I just have the pee pad laid down so if she really does need to go. Its better for her to do it on the pee pad then carpet. lol I think its just the cold weather and snow that get to her. Becuase if it wasnt for those two factors. She ALWAYS pees outside |

ok...you cannot tell her to go pee until she is ACTUALLY doing it...you cannot say it before or after, you need to say it when she is in the process of doing it---come up with a command word, in my case with Fiona, i tell her to go pee pee, or go poopy, however i only tell her while she is doing it. after she goes i really praise her, run around with her, give her treats, let her know she did the right thing. if you are out in the am and know she has to do both things and only does one, and your out there for like 20 min, bring her in and put her in the crate *if your using one* and then leave her in there for about 10 min, and try it again. If you come up with a word, make sure your entire house is using the same word. I have fiona going on command now, and now she is going when i tell her to go squat, and quickly! she literally squats when i say that! Consistancy is the key! Fiona is now 10 months old and was fully potty trained at 3.5 months old! just be patient, and it will all work out! I know since she is so tiny it may be difficult, especially if its cold out, but hey if your using the pads plus teaching her to go outside, im sure she will figure it out! good luck!

| When I got Roxy she was trained to a pee pad at 5 mts. I personally can't stand them. I started taking her out like every 15 minutes watching her like a hawk. Everytime she peed out side we jumped and good girled and did everything to be happy. She had never been out on grass so that was all new. It took a while for her to TRAIN ME to go out every hour and she wouldn't poo for the life of her. She would pee outside and come into poo. Once you can get the first pee or poo outside it's easier because your soooo happy you don't have to pick it up with a paper towle they are happy. She's 9 mts now and does have an accident on occation, due to my training. lol but at least she's not a st. bernard! lol Just takes time and your doing great just keep trying. |
