| ![]() I saw this former posting and am a bit better, but still frustrated! Snickers is 6 months and is regressing to his days when he 1st came home. I've had tears in my eyes everyday for the past week with him peeing and pooping at random. It being 30 below outside does not help but we make alternative garage arrangements for him to potty. Snick is also suffering from separation anxiety and will poop and pee in or out of his crate while we are gone. It's horrible. This weekend is dedicated to easing his anxiety and his potty training although I know it will take much, much longer. Are Ralphie, Wiz, and Kayla doing any better? Are there any Yorkies out there that are 100% trained that don't have accidents or am I just kidding myself here.... ![]() -Vivian ![]() |

| ![]() If it makes you feel any better Wiz is heading for 9 months now and although improving I still watch him like a hawk . I have to admit that I never knew a breed that is so smart in other ways and yet so dam stubborn to housetrain . You are not alone . I am proud to say that he does bark now to go outside for a pee and uses his pee pad once in awhile too . As far as pooing goes ..it is hit and miss . Good thing he is cute!! |

| ![]() I am going back to basics of everything. Redoing the crate training after reading this great article (http://www.dogdaysusa.com/housetrainingyourpup.html) to make sure he is not having anxiety and messing when in crate when we leave, and also barricading all rooms that have carpet and only giving him supervised playtimes. Today my husband was exercizing him by running around, took his eyes off for a 2nd and he pee'd. I hope this works...I'm praying...thank goodness for the long weekend, the extra day will help now that I know what to do to help my little guy. We love him to bits! -Viv ![]() |

| ![]() Hi, We keep breathing this huge sigh of relief...Lily just turned 9 months and has had one accident (pee on linolium) in about 8 weeks. She barks to go out poop (and do we make a fuss) and I just take her out every two hours to potty and she does. We wouldn't leave her to roam the house when we are away; we have a little area with a litter box and pee pad which she occasionally uses; but home and office is gloriously great. Just stay strict - vision at all times, crate when needed and take out often. Praise praise and yes we yelled if she had an accident just after we had taken her out - bad bad. We tried it with just ignoring the accidents - forget it. But really I think shes got it ![]() |

| ![]() Woke up this morning and Snick pee'd on the comforter...OMG, and all the while in my head last night before going to bed, I thought it was not a good idea to have him in bed with us...I should trust my motherly insticts. Anyway...there was blood in his pee POOR BABY!! We rushed him to the vet and he is on antibiotics now...whew! He has pee'd 3 times in the last 1 hour...poor guy. Thank you god for the long weekend, he is asleep in his crate right now and we are going to work with him all weekend. My poor guy!!!! He will get it again after he gets better, I am confident!! -Vivian ![]() |

| ![]() Thank you for the support so much!!!...Snickers was not regressing after all, he must have been in terrible pain. Today was our 1st day back after a 4 day weekend of antibiotics and crating Snick to get him comfy with his crate again. Well, he had a great day, no accidents in or out of hsi crate and he seems to be back to his normal self running to the door to potty. I am so happy to have my baby boy back!!! Whew!! I feel so bad that he was prob in pain for the past week and we had not idea! Thank goodness, thank goodness, thank goodness!!! Thanks Again!! -Vivian ![]() |

| ![]() Don't give up! I started training my boys in a small gated area and we went through many different stages. I put a pee pad in the gated area that they did use. I moved the gate down the hall and made the area larger over time. I worked and couldn't take them out during the day. My boys are now 2 and 1 1/2 and are trained 100% (never thought I could say that)!! I am retired now and the boys go outside. We shut our bedroom door at night and put there beds in our room along with a pee pad. The sometimes use the pad at night. We always leave a pad in the same spot in our room so they can use it if need be while we are gone. They prefer going outside but will use the pad when necessary. Good Luck and don't give up! ![]()

| ![]() I have a new yorkie 10 weeks old. She has had only one accident; however, I put her in her pen with her wee wee pad. Soon as she goes, I let her back out. My problem is she doesn't recognize the wee wee pad that I have in the family room for her. She is depending on me to put her in the pen. How do I train her to go on the one in the family room during her playtime? She is such a delight!! thanks.

| ![]() should I feel ashame? Chloe is 13 weeks old, and she is left alone for a good 6 to 8 hours, with access to kitchen, living room, my room and bathroom, where I had potty training pads, that got used maybe once a week, other than that she chews on them and u got pieces of pads all around the house. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I have 3 yorkies in the house. The Mom is 2 1/2 and fully potty trained. It seemed like she got it quick. the two little ones, not so much. I find their surprises. Winter is killer to potty train as well. But I know it is patience grasshopper.
