| Is there a way to make my yorkie more independant? Although I love taking my new Yorkie everywhere with me, I still need to get out of the house to go to where they don't allow pets. I know Yorkies are very demanding when it comes to attention, but is there a way to train it to not cry and get all emotional when I leave? |

Some people swear by crate training. Dogs are more comfortable in confined places, so they get them used to sleeping in a small crate at night and when you're gone. It's not as scary. But check out this site and google separation anxiety in dogs. Good luck. Separation Anxiety in Dogs
