| Wait, she did what?! Lexie was a pain in the big old butt when it came to potty training, but for the last month and a half she hasn't had ONE accident! Then last Monday it starts... She pooped in front of the door. Oops, no big deal. I probably didn't hear her scratching at the door. Then I was making dinner on Tuesday and she peed...right next to my feet. On it went, she would poop at least once a day in the house in random spots. Literally centimeters away from my feet! Then yesterday Lexie peed twice in the house in front of the washer/dryer on the tile floor (thank goodness!) and she pooped three times there. So today I blocked off that room thinking she was smelling something. Instead she peed in the house in the kitchen (again on the tile) and pooped IN MY ROOM!! When I bring her outside she will walk around, play with Beau, chase leaves, etc. then she will just go and sit by the door until I let her in. When I do, she will do...something bad...within minutes!!!! Nothing has changed; same diet, same schedule with feeding and sleeping, same everything! I kennel train her and she is 7 months old. WHAT IS GOING ON?

| i have found that if they dont do their business outside, and they sit at the door waiting for you. i put mine in the crate for another 15 to 30 minutes and let him back outside untill he does it outside. then he can go back to playing with his toys. but if he doesnt go outside when i want him to. i put him in the crate to make sure he doesnt go in the house after he has been given the oppurtunity to go outside. does that make sense? but all i know my friend who just got into vet school told me to do it. and presto! it changed his way of thinking very quickly. he then started to realize i wasnt going to give in and let him come in and play and poop in the house. it was outside or the crate, pick one. lol it worked for me. i hope it does for you! |

| Wow! A couple of posters with excellent ideas. Need to put them in my memory drawer when things go haywire around here. With four that is always a good possibility.

Donating YT Addict | Just so you don't feel alone there is a huge group of us that are having potty backsliding issues! Mine is 5 months old and we are back to square one with keeping notes on went he pottied last so we can take him to his pad to pee. Hopefully he will suddenly remember and I won't have to spend so much time sitting in the xpen with him waiting to pee!
