| How old is your pup? When you have any dogs, you have to puppy/dog proof your home just like you would if you had a toddler in your home. You have to watch them all the time and teach them not to chew on cords. You can also get covers for outlets and put tubes around your power cords. If you can't watch him/her you need to put him/her into a crate or xpen or room where they can be safe. |

| They say you should either get a squirt bottle (not sure that is good around power cords) or you can put coins in a can and when you catch the dog going for the cord, shake the can really loud or squirt the dog with the water bottle to scare it. The dog should learn shortly to not do that.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | if a squirt bottle or pennies in a can doesn't work you can try spraying "bitter apple" on the cords. It tastes really bad and usually deters them from licking. If that doesn't work you can also try solid stick deodorant. this also tastes bad and isn't harmful. good luck! and welcome to YT!

| I think it's called "bitter apple" spray or something. But it didn't work for Gizmo. The clear deodorant was great though! The only thing is that you MUST reapply it every single day. I kept that up for a few weeks and he got disgusted and just stopped. You can also find cord covers and such at Home Depot and other places. Those are a good idea too.
